The connection with Central Coast Grammar School by no means ends when a student graduates from school. Past students come together regularly to share memories, network and continue friendships as their lives evolve with each passing year.

Founded in 1985, CCGS is a relatively young school with a rapidly growing Alumnus. Regular reunions and events are organised by past students and supported by the school. Each Kindergarten intake now includes children of past students following in their parents’ footsteps. The school values this tradition and extension of its strong family spirit by offering priority to children of Alumni at enrolment.

Alumni continue to encourage and support the school in many ways and have recently been warmly welcomed back to:

  • Inspire the next generation as teachers
  • Serve as Board members
  • Share their career success at assemblies
  • Speak at Speech Night
  • MC at fundraising events
  • Challenge senior students in sporting fixtures and
  • Assist with photo archives

Mr Richard Lornie (OAM), Headmaster 1988 – 2008, was announced as Patron of the Past Students’ Association at his farewell dinner in 2008. Over 50 former Prefects and House Captains from the very early years of the school through to the recent past came together to honour Mr Lornie and express gratitude for the strength and confidence they had gained as a result of being educated in such a caring and supportive environment.
