Debating and Public Speaking
The ability to speak persuasively and think critically to craft an argument builds a student’s personal capacity to succeed in all aspects of life. Central Coast Grammar School’s strong Debating and Public Speaking programs develop confident, articulate speakers.

Our students are given plenty of opportunities to get used to and feel comfortable presenting to an audience. This practice continues throughout their schooling with regular class presentations, assemblies, School Services and the performing arts, allowing students to develop in confidence and skill. In Term 4 each year, our successful public speakers present a showcase of their oratory skills at the annual Debating and Public Speaking Presentation Evening. They have many opportunities to refine their skills and test their powers of persuasion through school, inter-school, local and state-wide competitions.
