The emphasis in the Junior School’s PD/Health/PE program is on participation in a broad range of experiences and challenges targeting different age levels. All Junior School children enjoy a weekly Health lesson and a weekly PE lesson. The PD/Health/PE program is aimed at developing:
- Sporting skills (such as coordination and ball skills),
- Fitness
- Camaraderie
- Teamwork
- An understanding about healthy lifestyle choices (nutrition and diet), and
- School spirit
K-2
K-2 students come together for a combined Sport session each week and rotate through a series of different activities during their lesson. Students learn sporting skills as well as developing coordination and aerobic fitness.
3-6
Years 3-6 have an extended Sport session every Friday afternoon, during school time. Each student has the opportunity to experience 2 sports codes per term, usually involving professional coaches, with our teachers as support. By the end of the year students will have participated in eight different physical activities that include:
- Dance

- Gymnastics
- Hockey
- Ice-skating
- Martial Arts
- Netball
