Phil O’Regan is the fourth Headmaster of Central Coast Grammar School.
He brings a vision for leadership that emphasises school serving as a place for students to discover their talents, identity and voice. Phil holds a deep commitment to academic excellence, and a passion for student wellbeing and experiential learning.
Prior to joining Grammar, Phil was the Deputy Headmaster K-12 and Head of Senior School at Knox Grammar School, where he led innovative education and wellbeing programs for students and staff, positions he held from 2018.
Phil has 27 years’ experience as an educator across a breadth of schools and contexts, serving on the Executive teams of four independent schools, including from 2014 – 2018 as Deputy Principal at Radford College, a coeducational P-12 independent school in the ACT.
He originally studied a Bachelor of Education (PDHPE) at the University of Wollongong and completed his Master of Human Resource Management at the University of Technology Sydney and Charles Sturt University. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
Recognised for his innovation and leadership in the education sector, Phil has served as a member of the NSW PESA Board, and he was the founding member of the Janison Schools Strategic Advisory Board, providing advice and direction to the Janison team on the development and delivery of their educational and student wellbeing services.
Phil is passionate about cultivating an inclusive, innovative community and inspiring young people, and staff to realise their own potential and transform the lives of others.
