Mission, Vision and Aims

Defining who we are and our ethos for striving for excellence in all endeavours.
STRIVING FOR EXCELLENCE
Our mission
From our Founding Charter, we set out to be a place of honest endeavour.
We aimed to be a school that would meet the individual needs of its students and draw out their best efforts across the many fields in which their talents lay. That remains our mission today: striving for excellence in all endeavours in a happy, caring and supportive environment.
Our central expectation is that every student can achieve their academic potential and experience a holistic education in an industrious, nurturing and supportive environment.
A community of respect
Our values
As a truly independent, non-denominational school, we offer a high-quality education built on a framework of grounded values.
These values form the foundation of good character and practical wisdom, guiding how we learn, lead and live together.
- Kindness
- Inclusivity
- Gratitude
- Respect
- Integrity
- Resilience
- Responsibility
Ours is a community of respect: for self, for others and for our School. We believe these values should be lived daily, guiding how we treat one another with kindness, fairness and honour in all situations.
We aspire to graduate young people who live out our values as courageous, compassionate, and wise contributors to a complex and changing society.
MAXIMISing THEIR POTENTIAL
Our aims
We will guide every student to develop our graduate aspirations of accomplishment, humanity, justice and agency.
They will maximise their potential, enriched by a wide variety of cultural, academic and cocurricular opportunities. They will develop into confident, caring and well-balanced young adults, resilient in character, confident in self, and prepared to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
With collaborative skills, technological competence, enterprising spirit and capacity for innovation, our graduates will be ready to make their mark with meaning and purpose.
Our overarching aspiration:
“Our graduates will be mature and articulate global citizens.
They will have maximised their potential and have been exposed to a wide variety of academic and cocurricular opportunities.
They will have developed into confident, caring and well-balanced young adults.
Our graduates will be able to thrive in a rapidly changing world through their collaborative skills, technological competence, enterprising spirit and capacity for innovation.”
