Meet the Headmaster
Phil O'Regan
Empowering change
I am delighted to welcome you to Central Coast Grammar School. It is a privilege to be the fourth Headmaster of this extraordinary school, a unique environment that cultivates the confidence, compassion and wisdom our world needs. At Grammar, we deeply believe in the capacity of every child to flourish in an environment where students grow in intellectual, moral and civic character. Where they develop balance and wellbeing and acquire wisdom through their unique educational experiences. Our graduating students leave us well prepared for their future, possessing the capabilities and mindsets to thrive beyond school, ready to lead a life of purpose and impact.
Shaping futures
This is an exciting time to be considering the educational opportunities for your child. Our culture is one that is inclusive, intellectually rigorous and fosters the holistic development of children, so that they learn to act with agency, confidence and compassion.
We achieve this through designing exceptional academic, cultural, artistic and sporting endeavours, truly nurturing the emotional, intellectual, and physical self.
Experience that drives change
With nearly three decades of leadership across four leading independent schools, I bring a deep understanding of how education can empower young people. My experience has taught me we must cater for the breadth of diversity amongst our young people, preparing them with the humanity, curiosity and virtues to make their mark in an ever changing world.
A voice in education innovation
Through my previous experiences as a founding member of the Janison Schools Strategic Advisory Board, and a member of the NSW PESA Board (Positive Educational Schools Association), I contributed to national conversations on student wellbeing, innovation and the future of learning. This remains my focus at Grammar, as we shape our strategy and experiences, and prepare our students to meet the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly evolving educational landscape and ever-changing world.
Passionate about people and purpose
I believe schools should be inclusive, future-focused communities. At Central Coast Grammar School, we nurture good character and practical wisdom so our students not only succeed academically, but also learn to act with compassion, confidence and agency.
A personal invitation
I welcome each of you warmly, and invite you to explore our wonderful campus, meet our dedicated staff and see first-hand how we help students realise their potential.
