Celebrating Harmony Day Together

Central Coast Grammar School came together this week to celebrate Harmony Day with a joyful display of colour, culture and connection. Junior School students proudly arrived in traditional dress representing countries including Japan, China, Egypt, Scotland and many more, creating a vibrant parade that reflected the rich diversity of our school community.

The celebration continued during our Service, where students shared poetry, dance and spoken pieces that honoured their cultural heritage. These performances gave students the opportunity to express pride in their backgrounds while helping their peers learn about different traditions and stories.

Harmony Day at Grammar is a reminder that diversity strengthens our community. By celebrating the cultures represented within our school, students practise the character strengths of kindness, respect and curiosity. They also learn the civic strength of citizenship as they recognise the importance of inclusion and belonging.

The day offered a meaningful chance for students to learn from one another, celebrate their identities and deepen their understanding of what it means to live well and learn well together. It was a beautiful expression of our belief that everyone belongs, and that our differences are something to be shared and celebrated.
