Congratulations to Ms Emma Henshaw: Careers Adviser of the Year

November 4, 2026

In recognition of her outstanding commitment to careers education and helping students to navigate their future pathways with confidence, curiosity and purpose, we are proud to announce that our School’s Careers Adviser, Ms Emma Henshaw, has been named ‘Careers Adviser of the Year’ by the Careers Advisers Association of NSW & ACT.

Choosing subjects, considering tertiary study and exploring vocational opportunities all require a sense of direction and a belief in what is possible.

Through her expertise, care and guidance, Ms Henshaw helps our students to recognise their unique strengths and talents, and approach the next chapter of their lives with greater confidence.

By offering ongoing support in the form of career profiling, scholarship advice, application guidance and access to workshops, expos and seminars, Ms Henshaw ensures our students are ready to take on the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead of them.

In celebrating the achievement, our Headmaster, Mr Phil O’Regan, noted that the award is a significant professional recognition for Ms Henshaw, and reflects the many ways in which she supports our students to understand their unique skills and ambitions.

“As educators, we know that some of the most meaningful work we do is not always measured in immediate outcomes, but in the confidence we help to build and the futures we help to shape.

“Ms Henshaw embodies this beautifully, and I know you will join me in celebrating her for this well-deserved recognition,” Mr O’Regan said.

Our teachers are central to the educational experience we provide, and we are proud to attract and retain outstanding educators such as Ms Henshaw who offer deep subject expertise and a genuine commitment to the growth and wellbeing of students.

Bringing energy, creativity and knowledge into every classroom, our teachers have high expectations of our students, and provide individualised care and encouragement – so every young person feels known, supported, and positively challenged.
