Rita Boys-Smith is an accomplished educational leader with more than 17 years’ experience in primary education.
She holds a Graduate Diploma in Education (Primary) and a Bachelor of Management (Marketing), complemented by executive and leadership programs through the Australian Institute of Sport, Harvard University, and the University of Sydney.
Currently Head of Junior School (K–6) and Liaison Head of Deputies for the Independent Primary Schools Heads Association (IPSHA), Rita has served as Deputy Head, Year Coordinator, and classroom teacher.
Her professional practice is marked by strong strategic planning and a commitment to community engagement. She is deeply invested in student wellbeing, curriculum innovation, and in cultivating learning environments that are inclusive, purposeful, and intellectually engaging.
Rita is also known for her calm, gracious demeanour, and the genuine care she extends to every one of our young students. She leads with integrity, earning the respect of her colleagues through her consistent support, thoughtful guidance, and dedication to their professional growth.
