After nearly three decades of service to students, staff and parents in our School canteen, Maaria Wardrope has hung up her apron for the last time.
Canteen Manager, Ms Lynn Loughman, praised Maaria as an integral part of our School community who delighted generations of students with her warm and personable service.
“Maaria has served our students and staff with joy and dedication since 1998, and throughout her years in the School canteen, she was far more than just a familiar face at mealtimes – she became a cherished member of the School family.
“Maaria’s warm and friendly nature, combined with her incredible knowledge and experience in the kitchen, won the hearts of students, teachers, and colleagues alike. She always greeted everyone with kindness, and created a welcoming atmosphere that made our School feel like home for so many.
“As Maaria moves into retirement, she leaves behind a legacy of care, hard work, and countless happy memories. While she will be greatly missed around the School, this next chapter brings exciting opportunities for her to enjoy more time with her family, and especially, her grandson in Melbourne,” Ms Loughman said.
While Maaria’s retirement marks the end of an era, her legacy lives on in the canteen she helped to grow.
