Get Kindergarten Ready

You’ve been nurturing them from birth and you’ve always known what they’re capable of. Now they’ll find a second home with us in Kindy, one where they’re known, understood and valued as individuals. A place where they can be safe and happy to learn and grow.

Read more about Kindergarten
  • Starting CCGS in the pivotal early years makes all the difference.
  • Every year we welcome 75 Kindy children across 4 classes.
  • Kindergarten have 5 orientation sessions before they start with us so the transition is seamless. Parents can make new friends too!
  • A Best Start individual session with their teacher just before they start means we understand where your child is up to and their next step for a flying start at school. Teachers meet with parents a few weeks in to share insights and work together with you to smooth out any initial transition bumps.
  • Our Kindy classes are housed in a bright, new, contemporary learning environment.
  • Kindergarten enjoy all the facilities of a K-12 school from day one. Right from Kindy they can get involved in our extensive program of cocurricular activities including sport and performing arts.
  • On site before and after school care is available to make the school run more manageable.
  • In general, children should have turned 5 by March 31 of their Kindergarten year.
  • We contact families registered on our Wait List at the beginning of the year before their start date. That's why it’s worth registering for enrolment well in advance to have the best chance of placement. For more information, head to Enrolment FAQs
  • The best way to understand the CCGS difference is to come and see our Kindergarten in action. Check dates and book your visit

A super charged learning environment

The Junior School is dedicated to the needs of our youngest children but benefits from its setting within a K-12 school in so many ways. Big picture thinking operates whole school from K-12 with a rigour and vision that makes the Junior School a super charged learning environment. The results are clear to see. Junior students also enjoy all the amazing sport and performing arts facilities alongside senior students.

Reporting to parents is comprehensive and parents can make an appointment to see a teacher at any time. A Parents as Partners course prepares parents to get involved in their child’s education through helping in the classroom and on excursion.

The Junior School is a very welcoming community. When your first child starts school or you move to a new school it’s a big deal for parents too! Our Parent Rep scheme is run by parents for parents, offering advice and opportunities to socialise and integrate quickly.

By the time children graduate from the Junior School in Year 6 we want them to have become more independent, resilient and brave. To have found areas of success and learned how to overcome challenges. To be connected, have developed strong study habits and have the self-belief to approach senior school with confidence.
